A strong degree in a technology-related subject is essential for this exciting opportunity within this rapidly expanding division of a well-established business consultancy. Tax training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The main function of the role will be to work with the firm’s technology clients in preparing R&D claims. This role will be under the supervision of the R&D Tax Manager, ensuring all R&D claim issues are dealt with efficiently and accurately.

Duties:

1. Ensure that the R&D tax claims in the tech and IT sectors are prepared on time and meet our quality standards.
2. Ensure claims contain sufficient technical content to meet HMRC’s requirements.
3. Engage with IT claim training and wider R&D tax credits training offered by the team and third parties.
4. Have a technical knowledge of IT and/or software development and incorporate this knowledge into the claim content.
5. Stay up to date with software and technology.
6. Deliver technical and costing aspects of the IT claims within the R&D tax team and seek to deliver this work within project budgets and KPIs.
7. Be an active team member and offer suggestions and ideas.
