We’re seeking a dedicated Estate Operative/Handyman to join Encore at one of our established developments in Wimbledon. This is a full-time opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping sites well-maintained, safe, and welcoming.
Role Overview
- Location: Wimbledon
- Hours: Mon-Fri, 08:00-16:30
- Salary: £26,750
Key Responsibilities
- General maintenance tasks (e.g., changing lightbulbs and lamps)
- Caretaking and gardening duties to keep the site in top condition
- Cleaning communal areas and facilities
- Emergency system testing, such as fire alarms and emergency lighting
- Managing bin stores and car park monitoring
- CCTV surveillance and monitoring
- Operating site machinery and programming fob access control systems (full training provided)
What We’re Looking For
- While previous experience in caretaking, maintenance, or security is advantageous, it’s not essential.
- Lives within a 45-minute commute of the site
- Is comfortable using IT systems to log and track jobs or issues
- Has a proactive, can-do attitude and values attention to detail
