Position Purpose

The main responsibility is to contribute to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the Biosystems plant, focusing on the receipt, emptying, cleaning of reusable sharps containers, and preparing them for dispatch and reuse along with Biosystems hardware, ensuring prompt dispatch while keeping all equipment safe to prevent damage.

Key Job Activities

• Run the Biosystems Wash line and Autoclave Plant in line with company KPI targets.
• Empty, clean, and maintain waste containers, transport and roll cages, ensuring they are ready for collection and maintain high quality and stock control.
• Control receipt and dispatch of waste containers, transporters and roll cages, ensuring vehicles are loaded/unloaded safely and in line with internal policies, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
• Maintain operational records and data, including shift reports, BMS data entry, and productive reports.
• Assist with breakdown/defect repairs and support Maintenance Engineers to minimize plant downtime.
• Conduct shift inspections, including work‑safe observations, report good catches, resolve issues, and update reporting systems.
• Review handover from previous shift, plan resource distribution, and complete shift hand‑over and KPI reporting.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping and safe working areas during each shift.

Education

High school or equivalent.

Experience

• North America & LATAM: Required – High school or equivalent.
• EMEAA: 0‑1 year required experience.
• Preferred – Basic knowledge.

• Key attention to detail, manual handling, and safe use of vibrating equipment.
• Experience with substances hazardous to health, handling clinical waste, forklift operation (if trained), and vehicle tail lift (if trained).
