This is an excellent opportunity to join a global ship management company based in Glasgow. Due to expansion, we are looking for a Technical Superintendent with Tanker (Oil/Chemical) experience. They offer an excellent base salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities include:
- The safe, efficient and economic performance of the vessels;
- In charge of dry-dock, major upgrades and repairs;
- In charge of all Class matters including timely arrangement of surveys;
- In charge of timely arrangement of shore services in conjunction with Class;
- Monitor PMS status onboard, monitor critical and major equipment spare parts;
- Act with highest priority to close out of reported defects;
- Main equipment service letters implementation and follow up;
- Managing ship’s budgets, provision and update vessels on a monthly basis;
- In charge of all purchasing matters, verify quotations in relation to costs and requirements.
Experience Required:
- 1 year of previous experience as a Technical Superintendent working with a ship-management/ship-owning company (Desirable);
- Hold a Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer CoC with senior sailing experience on tankers;
- Experience with Drydocks;
- Strong knowledge of industry rules and regulations;
- Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, positive and good team player;
- Excellent communication and report writing skills;
- Flexibility to travel frequently worldwide at short notice.
You must have the right to work in the UK to be considered. The role will be full time in the Glasgow office.
