Description

The successful candidate will have experience of managing and supervising a busy department in a Multi-site catering establishment. You will have the ability to embrace innovation and address problems in a practical manner and have exceptional communication skills. You will also have the professionalism, motivation and ability to drive standards within the department and wider centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Have practical working knowledge of systems, processes and procedures across the department.
  • Create a friendly award-winning team mentality
  • Maintain a professional standard with all stakeholders
  • Ensure areas are set to SOPs, and correctly staffed.
  • To assist the Retail Manager with all aspects of compliance and health and safety procedures in all operational areas.
  • Responsible for the implementation and delivery of SOPs and presentation for the catering operation.
  • Strict Stock control in guidance with operational procedures
  • Always ensuring a culture of excellent customer service.
  • On the day, take the lead and act as the point of contact for staff and SCL department queries and manage the planning and delivery of the catering operation.
  • Ensure that all food is served and presented in accordance with SOPS.
Team Responsibilities
  • To adhere to rules and best practice of Hygiene, Health and Safety always to ensure full compliance with all relevant current legislation.

  • Work with the Retail Manager to build a friendly hardworking culture of teamwork with chefs and FOH personnel, ensuring that all catering areas run smoothly and in harmony
  • Promote excellent customer service.
  • Maintain Uniform standards
  • Ensure the catering areas are set. Point of sale products are optimally displayed to drive sales, to agreed standards.
Performance Responsibilities
Performance will be monitored against the following:
  • Ownership and completion of agreed business priorities in a timely manner
  • Teamwork

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • At least one years’ Management experience in a similar retail catering environment.
  • Excellent customer service and client awareness always.
  • A strong leader who can attract and retain an empowered team to deliver a great customer experience.
  • The highest standard of personal presentation.
  • An individual who enjoys hard work and a challenge and the ability to cope under pressure in a busy and face paced environment.
  • A self-starter who can maximise the right sales opportunities with creativity and flair and the ability to organise and control events to deliver profit growth.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Knowledge of and qualifications relating to food handling, COSHH and HACCP is desirable.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Good communication skills.
