The opportunity

We’re looking for a Supply Chain Executive to manage the Operations function within nuclear operations supply chain. The role will support supply chain management of strategic partners by developing relationships and performance to support nuclear operations objectives

You will lead a team, develop and maintain capabilities from our strategic partner supplier base to support maintenance outages and core activities across the fleet. Safety management and compliance with licenced conditions and legislation are key elements of the company’s standards. The role will focus on ensuring safety, quality, time, and cost imperatives are embedded into our business.

This is a full-time, site-based position.

What you’ll be doing

As a key member of the Supply Chain team, you’ll lead and guide a high-performing group to deliver on strategic goals and operational excellence. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing supply chain plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives while maintaining compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

You’ll support the development and implementation of policies and processes, particularly around the Acquire Goods and Services Standard, and act as a deputy for the Supply Chain Manager – Operations. Your work will also involve strengthening relationships with regulators and external stakeholders, driving continuous improvement, and enhancing performance through business optimisation and human performance tools.

Collaboration is central to this role—you’ll engage with peers across the Nuclear Family to identify shared opportunities, support training and compliance frameworks, and help develop skills across the team. From materials management to procurement engineering, your influence will help shape a more agile, efficient, and future-ready supply chain function.

Who you are

As the Supply Chain Executive, you’ll ideally hold a degree in a relevant subject and experience with a relevant professional qualification e.g. Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply.

You’ll have knowledge of different approaches to Supply Chain Management and Continuous Improvement techniques.

The successful Supply Chain Executive will have proven leadership, interpersonal skills, awareness of best practice advances in supply chain, above average IT ability and the ability to promote effective teamwork by personally acting as a mentor and role model.
