Summary

We are seeking a HR Advice Partner to join our great HR team due to the expansion of the business. This role will support our Freedom business across various sites in the South of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support regarding HR procedures and practices relating to People Management.
  • Support and coach line managers on Performance Management issues, including conduct/capability matters and recruitment, with a focus on behaviours and climate while ensuring consistency across the Group.
  • Support TUPE Transfer activities within the business.
  • Act as the HR expert in investigation, disciplinary, and grievance meetings; provide advice and guidance on appropriate levels of sanctions to line managers consistently across the Group.
  • Provide support and guidance to line managers regarding Absence Management situations, managing the medical referral procedure for long-term sickness absence cases as required.
  • Understand how HR can best support and improve processes and procedures to ensure efficiency across the Group.
  • Provide professional input into the recruitment processes as required by line management within the geographical location covered.
  • Advise line managers on appropriate terms and conditions for staff.
  • Contribute to communication processes to develop and maintain a co-operative and harmonious climate of employee relations within the area of control/responsibility.
  • Advise Managers and Supervisors to help them recognize when HR procedures are necessary.
  • Provide guidance on HR administration procedures for effective use of People Services.
  • Provide additional HR support as required in agreement with the local HR Business Partner or specific business-wide projects.
  • Engage in project activity to develop training workshops, policy implementation, etc., for the business benefit to be rolled out across the group as appropriate and as requested by the HR Business Partner.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous HR generalist experience, including employee relations, recruitment, disciplinary and grievances, changing terms and conditions, and TUPE Transfers.
  • Experience within the Utilities, Construction, or Built Environment industry is ideal.
  • CIPD qualified or working towards it.
