Our client has a vacancy for a motivated and proactive Paralegal to join their Private Client team. The Private Client team specialise in advising families and business owners on their wealth and succession arrangements. This is a great opportunity to develop your legal skills and knowledge within a growing, experienced and mutually supportive team.

You will be working on a broad range of matters including:

  • Wills and estate administration
  • Powers of Attorney
  • Trust Administration
  • Estate Planning
  • Court of Protection work

Day to day duties would include:

  • Draft correspondence, documents and letters of advice to clients under supervision
  • Draft and complete basic legal documents and forms with limited supervision
  • Liaise with clients by telephone and email
  • Research legal issues on behalf of other fee earners
  • Taking responsibility for administrative tasks such as co-ordinating administration of seminars
  • To assist with the team's business development activities
  • Prepare document bundles for fee earners as required
  • Attend clients both in person and on the telephone as requested by the fee earners
  • Be involved in the efficient management of client/matter files to include general filing, file opening, preparation of client care letters and terms and conditions, file closure and archiving
  • Taking messages about initial advice queries and passing on to the relevant fee earner
  • Attend meetings and take notes as required
  • Undertaking any other duties as required

We are looking for you to have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A Law Degree or previous experience working in a private client team
  • Great working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
