If you are an experienced business development manager who is looking for a new exciting career opportunity with an exceptional MGA/company then this could be an ideal career move. This could also suit someone who is currently performing a Business Development Manager and being broker facing, or they may consider someone from a broking environment who is sales focused and ideally from a wheels/fleet background.
This is a working from home based role covering the Yorkshire & Northeast broker panel with their Head Office being based in the Southeast, where a great deal of autonomy would be provided. They have excellent AA rated facilities and are a market leading company within the Fleet/Haulage sector, controlling around £120m GWP, and they also provide products for the wider general insurance market.
There will be great additional support from the senior management team, which is also backed up by a strong team of underwriters to ensure you can maximise every possible opportunity to being successful in performing this role to its full potential. You will need to be very proactive in your approach, developing new business opportunities, and winning the clients over with a view to you being the go-to person/company for General Insurance/wheels-based risks, which fits within their underwriting appetite.
Within the role you will be required to:
- Responsible for New Business lead generation, quotes, conversions across all products, in line with strategic targets.
- Delivering growth and retention in line with strategic targets.
- Developing and maintaining an excellent understanding of the key customers/target audience to ensure that their needs are being met and that their business is retained.
- Liaising with relevant internal departments to ensure that customer needs are met and that customer requirements are fully communicated throughout the business.
- Responsible for the quality of visits, regularity, planning and reporting.
- Build strong internal & external relationships.
