Your Opportunity:
Are you a strategic legal expert looking for a rewarding position where you can truly contribute? As Senior Legal Counsel, you'll be instrumental in delivering expert legal guidance throughout our various operational and functional business areas. Reporting to the General Counsel, you'll be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, supporting the business in navigating complex legal matters while promoting commercial success.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing day-to-day legal advice on operational issues across the business.
- Advising on complex, high-value commercial and IT contracts.
- Supporting M&A activity, including due diligence.
- Handling commercial disputes and working with external legal counsel as required.
- Ensuring compliance with data privacy laws, including GDPR.
- Advising on consumer-facing products, advertising, and marketing.
- Managing external legal counsel spend and maintaining legal playbooks.
- Contributing significantly to the senior leadership team and assisting with strategic decision-making.
What We'd Like You to Bring:
- England & Wales qualified solicitor/barrister with at least 6 years PQE.
- Substantial background in commercial contracts, M&A, and consumer law.
- Knowledge of data protection laws and confidence in spotting GDPR issues.
- Ability to advise on a broad range of legal matters, from real estate to employment.
- Possesses a forward-thinking mindset that encourages innovation and collaboration.
- Excellent communication abilities, coupled with experience in advising senior stakeholders.
- Well-suited for environments characterised by rapid development and change.
- Previous in-house legal experience.
