Vasto Legal Recruitment are working closely with a highly regarded law firm based in Reading on an opportunity for an Employment Legal Director to join their large and revered employment team. Occasional travel into the City of London may be needed.
If you are an Employment Associate with 6+ years post-qualified experience gained from a reputable UK practice, then we would be interested in speaking with you and discussing the opportunity. Ideally, we require an individual with wide-ranging experience who is looking for a position with autonomy and responsibility, working alongside supportive and established Lawyers at the firm – for progression and development within employment law this could be an excellent opportunity for your consideration.
Culturally this firm is away from the big city firms and acts as more a boutique practice with Employment being the strongest function of the firm. Lower average billables targets.
The work will include:
- Advising a varied client base of SMEs to large corporate clients and household names on ad hoc employment matters, contracts, policies, management issues etc.
- Grievance and disciplinary matters
- Unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing – opportunity to be involved in High Court litigation and Employment Tribunal.
- Supporting and developing client relationships in a role with a high degree of exposure and support
The ideal candidate will have 6+ years PQE within mixed contentious and non-contentious employment law. Wide-ranging experience would be well suited and ideally, experience in High Court litigation would be desired but not essential.
Salary - £90,000-£110,000 (depending on experience) + bonus + benefits
