We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Registrar in Paediatrics on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Paediatrics department. Our client is one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching Trusts with a turnover of c£1 billion, 1.5 million patient contacts a year, and more than 15,000 staff based across South East London. The Trust provides a full range of local and specialist services across its five sites. The successful appointee will be asked to fulfil various duties, such as:
- Neonatal Unit/Children's Ward - ward rounds, discharge planning, acute admissions and general paediatric and neonatal work.
- Responsibility for either neonatal unit or Children's Ward, alternating with the other middle grade doctors.
- Regular attendance and active participation in outpatient clinics.
- Participation in overall supervision and education of junior doctors and medical students.
- Taking an active part in the department's education programme.
- Taking an active part in audit. An audit project is expected in this post.
