The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

This is a 6 month FTC to start as soon as possible. However, our client can accommodate a notice period of 1 month for the right candidate.

As a competition lawyer, you might have had broad competition experience and might have specialised in merger control, antitrust enforcement and compliance, and FDI filings. We are seeking someone who works well independently and as part of high-performance/multidisciplinary teams.

We are looking for a solutions-focused counsel, a strategic thinker with commercial awareness and strong oral and written communication skills. Someone who can build strong relationships with all stakeholders and who is experienced at giving pragmatic legal advice in a business-friendly way will be required for this role, alongside being an expert in competition law matters.

As the sole competition counsel in a wider legal team, you will handle a broad range of competition law matters including competition investigations. Types of matters you might work on include antitrust/monopoly investigations, merger control aspects of major mergers and acquisitions, advising internal and external stakeholders orally and in writing on filing requirements and compliance, preparing precedent templates, and driving positive outcomes that align with the required procedures.

We are seeking:

  • Mid to senior level lawyer with expertise in competition law
  • Broad competition law exposure with experience in merger control matters
  • Experience in-house highly desirable but not essential

Salary: Highly competitive FTC Salary on offer

Start date: ASAP

Location: London – hybrid

Contract duration: 6 months with possible extensions.
