Vision Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a qualified Vision Rehabilitation Specialist to provide a quality rehabilitation service to service users (adults, children, and young people) with a sight/severely sight impairment/deaf blindness in order to meet their needs and achieve their vision, through utilising the resources available to them.

Responsibilities:

• Meet and support service users by undertaking comprehensive assessments to identify the options available to meet their needs.
• Manage own caseload.
• Undertake case recording.
• Develop person-centred support plans linked to outcomes.
• Provide professional/appropriate advice and assistance to the service users and, when required, signpost them to other services.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience of working with visually impaired people.
• Able to undertake needs-led assessments and rehabilitation.
• Able to manage a comprehensive caseload.
• Ability to use the internal database.
• Essential: Diploma in Rehabilitation Studies.
