At ECM, we are scientists and engineers offering a personal service to help our peers find jobs. This is a role with a small and profitable independent product company. The role combines C++ and potentially C# software engineering with offering technical consultancy, advice, guidance, and support to their clients. The company's products combine hardware and software, video imaging, and signal data.

You will have a solid understanding of C++ software engineering in terms of building well-structured, sizeable, and performant software applications, in addition to a good technical degree from a top university. Ideally, you will have experience of both Linux and Windows platforms, and some knowledge of C# as the company's use of the language grows.

Prior image processing, video, and embedded experience are not required, but could be gained as part of the role. It is also a position which offers exposure across the software stack, low level upwards. The client consultancy aspects may include email, telephone, and occasional in-person advice to engineers in other organisations.

Candidates will need to be UK based with full existing work permission without sponsorship, and seeking a full-time and office-based role. The ability to gain UK government security clearance is advantageous given past and future projects.

Their pleasant, modern offices are in a countryside location easily reachable by car, with a shared café on site. The company offers a competitive salary plus benefits including significant performance-related bonuses.
