Job role: Shift Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/Electrical)

Location: Worcester

Salary: £50,000/year

Shift Pattern: 3-shift rotating pattern (AM, PM, Nights), Monday to Friday

Overtime available at a premium rate

Straight permanent position

We are looking for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our client in the Worcester area. The role involves working on a weekly rotating 3-shift pattern, covering 24-hour production. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to their work and be committed to driving continuous improvement in the production line.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conducting preventative maintenance on production machinery.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
3. Initiating and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Supporting improvement actions and working collaboratively within the team.
5. Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulations.

Requirements:

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a production/factory environment.
2. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing and maintaining centrifugal and lobe pumps.
3. Competency in electrical systems; experience in hydraulics and pneumatics preferred.
4. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 3-shift rotating pattern.
5. Experience working in a food factory is highly desirable.
6. Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership of improvement initiatives.
