Samuel Frank is recruiting for an experienced Commissioning Engineer with demonstrable experience of commissioning PLC / SCADA systems, ideally in an automotive environment.
Key aspects of the Commissioning Engineer position include:
- Software commissioning of existing PLC code & SCADA systems
- Building solutions from existing templates, programming to develop new functionality to existing systems
- System configuration and testing knowledge, particularly with Siemens TIA Portal or Allen Bradley ControlLogix 5000
- Willingness to travel and spend time away on customer sites; the successful Commissioning Engineer will split their development time between the office and home, and then spend extended periods working on customer sites across the UK
- Knowledge of Siemens WinCC and/or Wonderware InTouch / AVEVA System Platform is ideal
- Site work will include delivering solutions during shutdown periods over Easter and Summer holidays
The ideal candidate will have an Electrical Engineering background and developed skills within test and commissioning. You will be dealing with customers on client sites, have a flexible approach to your work, be able to work under pressure, and be self-motivated.
