Encocam are looking for a new Lead Project Engineer at their manufacturing sites in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
You will play an important role in directing the business on projects within Cellbond Impact Solutions areas to ensure the business successfully operates in a safe and efficient manner, whilst sustaining a continuous improvement culture.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
- Lead projects with different natures and requirements.
- Ensure delivery of the projects/milestones within the specified timetables.
- Support the business unit with budgeting when required and help with gathering the necessary information to provide quotation for new projects.
- Carry out various analyses as and when required.
- Support development projects by carrying out FEA where necessary and suggest technical solutions using your expertise knowledge and experience.
- Coordinate development of FE models for existing and new products and validate the test models using real world physical test data.
- Carry out development physical testing where deemed necessary.
- Support to improve test methods, presentation and analysis of data.
- Produce technical documents, reports and presentations for both internal and external use.
- Provide technical support to sales, customers and production. Ensure a close working relationship with sales making sure that customer needs are met.
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with internal and external customers.
- Ensure that development work is documented and stored in an appropriate location.
- Identify and source Regulations and Standards to support product development.
- Create, review and sign off test reports and CofC’s.
- To adhere to Health and Safety regulations (including adequate knowledge of COSHH, MSDS, PPE).
General
- Contribute towards the formulation and implementation of the Company’s strategy.
- Facilitate the creation and implementation of departmental objectives and ideas for improvement.
- Co-operate fully with the company regarding all H&S matters and be aware of the importance of complying with H&S Policy to ensure a safe workplace and maintain the integrity of the environment (See P-HS-17175).
- You may be required to train other colleagues as and when requested.
- Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.
