Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available for Health and Social Care Support Workers to join the Care at Home Team in Lochaber. The post holder will work effectively supporting care as appropriate to promote optimum achievable self-care allowing clients to remain in their own homes. There is a goal within Lochaber to expand the service to include reablement/rehabilitation to allow patients to avoid acute hospital admission / return home from hospital sooner and remain living in their own homes.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to NHS Highland policies and procedures and all relevant local and national standards.
- Strictly follow NHS Highland policies on confidentiality.
- Show willingness and interest in continuing professional development.
- Undertake relevant activities to meet training objectives identified through supervision.
- Complete SVQ health and social care level 3 to be registered with the SSSC.
Working Conditions
This role works within a rota system and includes flexible, unsociable hours and weekend working. Post holders will be expected to work throughout the Lochaber region with flexibility.
Requirements
- Current UK driving licence and use of own car for work purposes are essential.
