Security Engineer – Qualys

About the role

Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a motivated and experienced Qualys Web Application/Integration Specialist to support the in-flight deployment and integration of Qualys solutions across our client’s enterprise. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Qualys deployment, scanner configuration, scan setup, tagging, web application scanning, and troubleshooting.

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

The must haves:

  • Proven experience in deploying and managing Qualys solutions and working with the Qualys toolset.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies and tools.
  • Strong understanding of web applications setup and protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Qualys Certifications, networking qualifications, Security Qualifications etc)

Key responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end deployment of Qualys solutions across the organisation.
  • Configure and deploy Qualys scanners, ensuring optimal placement and performance.
  • Set up and manage scans, including asset tagging and scheduling.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Qualys deployment and operation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Qualys into existing workflows and systems.
  • Provide knowledge and support to the rest of the project team and the Operational Vulnerability Management Team.
  • Ensure what is set up works for the operational Vulnerability management team and that all work is documented to allow smooth handover to operations.
