The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

There has never been a better time to join our Paediatric Critical Care team at the Great North Children's Hospital. With an expanding service and a plan for new Paediatric High Dependency with the initial opening of 2 beds, now is the time to join our team. We have 12 commissioned PICU beds and 2 PHDU beds. We support our local children in the North East and Cumbria who require emergency treatment or are undergoing surgery requiring Intensive Care admission.

Our PICU is a busy dynamic unit providing care for children with a variety of health care needs. Specialties include neurosurgery, neurology, trauma, oncology, BMT, and plastic surgery, as well as paediatric surgery, paediatric infectious diseases, and paediatric medicine.

The Senior Sister / Charge Nurse has 24 hour accountability, including line managing, for their ward/department. They must deliver quality nursing care by ensuring appropriate systems and processes are in place to ensure the continuity of safe and effective care at all times. Deputises for Matron as required / appropriate.

Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month's pay.
