We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Plumbing Assessor to join our Apprenticeship department at Orbital South Colleges. This role for the College essentially involves visiting learners in the workplace to assess their knowledge and learning for Plumbing courses across Levels 2-3.
Your duties will also include:
- Conducting practical assessments
- Monitoring and tracking progress
- Training and assessing
- Delivering the underpinning knowledge requirements of the qualification within the workplace
A key function of this role is to build strong relationships with those in the Construction industry on behalf of the College. The post holder will need to ensure that work placements are safe environments conducive to learning.
You will have a passion for high standards, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good time management, and proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners.
Successful candidates must:
- Be qualified to at least level three
- Hold a Certificate/Award in Assessing (Ideally IQA)
- Have an understanding of the apprenticeship provision
- Have proven industry experience in the Plumbing industry
- Have a full clean UK driving license and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes as the role will involve travelling to local businesses
- Have excellent administrative and IT skills
- Experience of assessing and working with high profile employers would be advantageous
- The ability to plan and deliver a flexible workload
It is also highly desirable for candidates to hold a Certificate/Award in Internal Quality Assurance and a teaching qualification.
