Premier Engineering is working with a leading company specializing in the water industry. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in clean water, wastewater, or treatment plants to join their growing team and contribute to critical infrastructure projects.
The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
- Proven experience working on projects within the clean water or wastewater sectors, including treatment plants.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, pipelines, and other equipment used in water treatment systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as WIMES.
- Knowledge of mechanical installation and commissioning processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
- Designing, developing, and specifying mechanical systems for clean water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Producing detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborating with project teams to ensure designs meet client and industry requirements.
- Conducting site visits to oversee installations, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
