Key aspects of the Electrical Design Engineer role include:
- Design electrical and control systems for a range of projects using EPLAN Electric and EPLAN Pro Panel software
- Generating various diagrams including GAs, single and multi-line diagrams, PLC overview, terminal diagrams, cable overview, and parts lists
- Producing calculations including volt drop calculations
- At least 5 years relevant/recent experience with EPLAN as a Design Engineer
- Knowledge of EN ISO 13849-1 and EN ISO 13849-2
- Experience in the innovative design of automated machinery for manufacturing environments
- Interpretation of customer requirements and presentation of design solutions
- Knowledge of British and international standards relative to the design and installation of industrial automation systems
- Conducting assessments and generating technical documents in accordance with the Machinery Directive and other British and international standards
This position will suit an innovator who is constantly looking for solutions that give maximum value.
Ideally HNC / HND or Degree qualified in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
In terms of safety hardware validation, ideally have SISTEMA experience (or PAScal).
Full UK driving licence required.
All hours worked over 37.5 per week between Monday-Friday will be paid at flat rate with enhanced rates for any hours worked on Saturdays/Sundays/Bank Holidays.
The client’s premises are commutable from the following locations in the West Midlands: Coventry, Warwick, Solihull, Rugby, Nuneaton, Daventry, Birmingham, Tamworth, Redditch, and Stratford-upon-Avon.
