Role Summary: The Regional CTO is a visionary technology leader responsible for driving innovation, technical excellence, and strategic growth across a designated region for Thoughtworks. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to inspire and empower teams to deliver transformative solutions for our clients. The regions are: Americas (including LATAM), Europe (including India & Middle East), APAC (including China). Identifying new trends and services Strong Technology Leadership: Establish Thoughtworks as a leading technology innovator in the region. Enhanced Client Satisfaction: Deliver exceptional client experiences, resulting in increased loyalty and repeat business. High-Performing Teams: Build and nurture a motivated and engaged technology workforce. Key Metrics: Region recognized as an industry tech leader in core differentiator # of Deals in new potential services/emerging tech (Horizon 2 and 3) Ability to predict trends and convert into H1 work Impact on key executive relationships; Billable utilization at 30% URVE Responsibilities: Client Advisory and Billable Expertise (~30%) Act as a trusted technology advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on complex challenges and opportunities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, acting as an escalation point for technical issues. Support presales activities strategically aligned with client needs. Continuously develop expertise to anticipate future client problems, ensuring relevance and impact. Navigate hype cycles Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to leverage for competitive advantage. Coordinate regional market sensing activities and share insights with global peers and service line leaders. Participate in technology strategy creation. Tech Radar and Telescope Reports Share insights with analysis and research teams to add market context to reports. Ecosystem activation Implement technology strategies within our ecosystem. Engage with market partners through conferences, meetings, and media interactions. Represent Thoughtworks as a thought leader in the tech community. Contribute to brand building by promoting technical expertise and innovative solutions. Talent Cultivation and Elevation Mentor and develop technical talent, focusing on diversity and inclusion. Promote knowledge sharing through best practices, case studies, and technical content. Manage reports Key Criteria for the Role: Core Technical Competencies: Ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders with excellent communication skills. Extensive experience in software engineering, data management, and system architecture. Proven leadership in technology and strategic thinking, aligning innovation with business goals.
