M-Tec Engineering is working with a major first tier automotive supplier who is looking to take on a Senior Quality Engineer. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer expectations are met and all quality activities are adhered to.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Problem solve through the 8D process.
- Maintain customer contact and relationship.
- Ensure IATF is implemented and maintained throughout the plant.
- Conduct product and process audits.
- Instruct and train personnel in techniques and use of audit and testing devices.
- Visit customers and suppliers when necessary.
- Act as a liaison to internal and external customers.
- Produce timing plans and implement product quality samples.
- Responsible for Process Flows, FMEAs, Control Plans, and SOPs, Work Instructions.
- Follow PPAP/APQP through new product launch.
- Review and ascertain Supplier and Customer PPAP Approval.
- Responsible for the reduction of waste including scrap.
- Where possible, reduce cost and improve quality through continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor and reduce 3rd party and internal firewall activities.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- HNC qualified or equivalent.
- At least 5 yearsβ experience working in a Quality role for a first tier automotive supplier.
- Strong communication skills with customers.
