With our continued growth, we are recruiting for a QA Engineer to join our team at Revolution. The role will be hybrid or remote working, although if remote, some (very infrequent) travel may be required to our company headquarters. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £45,000 along with a generous company benefits package.

The role

We’re looking for a passionate QA Engineer to join our Agile team, dedicated to ensuring our software delivers exceptional quality, reliability, functionality, and usability. You will work under the supervision of the QA Manager and closely with developers, stakeholders, and the support team.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to identify and resolve defects.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the system to provide informed testing support.
  • Work closely with the support team to investigate potential issues, find solutions, and test fixes.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospectives, helping the teams to continuously improve.
  • Contribute to test documentation and continuously improve testing practices.
  • Participate in root cause analysis when issues do arise.
  • Convert manual test cases into automated tests using Playwright and C#.
  • Understand security testing and OWASP Top 10.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of manual and automated testing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools, preferably dev-ops.
  • Experience with C# and Playwright.
  • Proficient in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience in testing web applications, APIs, and database-driven systems.
  • Solid SQL skills for database validation and testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
