We have been assigned by an NHS Trust in the East Midlands to recruit for their MSK Radiology Consultant vacancy on a permanent basis. Our client is one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the local population. They play a leading role in research, education, and innovation. They have a budget of just under £1 billion, 90 wards, and 1,700 beds across three main sites. They deliver district general services to 2.5 million residents of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, and surrounding communities. Their specialist services allow them to deliver care to 4.5 million people from across the East Midlands and nationally for a handful of services.
The appointee will be responsible for various duties within the department, including:
- Management of patients admitted under their care.
- Provision with Consultant colleagues of a comprehensive elective and emergency MSK service.
- Active role in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit, incident reporting, review of complaints, risk management, CPD, and Evidence-Based Practice.
- Significant role in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
- Providing, along with Consultant colleagues, a comprehensive elective and emergency on-call service related to MSK Radiology.
- Sessions for reporting time for Plain Film, MRI, and CT.
- Performing ultrasound and fluoroscopy/US/CT guided procedures.
- Participation in multidisciplinary meetings.
