Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the East Midlands to help recruit a Consultant Haematologist for a substantive position. This role will also come with a generous GOLDEN HELLO incentive for the successful candidate. The Trust is one of the largest employers in the area and is on an exciting journey. With over 15,000 staff, they provide a range of national and international specialist services and are at the forefront of new procedures and research programmes. The Trust is going through an exciting period of change and is now seeking a Consultant to join the Haematology team.
The successful candidate will be part of a University Teaching Hospital and join an established team of over 10 Haematologists. The post holder should have experience and an interest in non-malignant haematology, including red cells and general haematology. The organisation will also encourage further specific interest within the field of non-malignant haematology.
Brief Duties:- Provide senior support for the red cell and general haematology services (clinical and laboratory).
- Provide senior support for the liaison service for red cells and general haematology.
- Attend clinics in haemoglobinopathy and general haematology. There is flexibility within the job plan for the 3rd clinic, depending on the interest of the successful candidate.
- Support the non-malignant inpatient haematology service, including management of patients with red cell disorders within the region's sickle cell and thalassaemia network (ward attending in rotation).
- Participate in the outpatient management of patients with non-malignant haematology conditions.
- Contribute to the teaching and training in haematology at the Hospital and University.
Our client is happy to issue Certificates of Sponsorship to suitably qualified overseas doctors; however, GMC registration is essential for this position.
