Our client is recruiting for a Compliance Advisory Officer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide regulatory advice to a well-respected business and influence a strong compliance culture.
This permanent role offers flexible working with a minimum of two days in the office, and you will be based out of our Milton Keynes office.
Role Overview
The Compliance Advisory Officer will work closely with the Deputy Head of Compliance and key stakeholders across the business. You will be responsible for providing regulatory guidance, promoting good governance practices, and ensuring compliance with FCA requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clear regulatory advice to the business in line with FCA rules and guidance
- Reviewing and updating compliance policies and promoting their use across the business
- Responding to compliance queries and escalating non-compliance issues to senior management
- Monitoring risks and maintaining compliance registers
- Assisting with regulatory training content and supporting the Learning and Development team
- Preparing reports and regulatory notifications for the FCA
- Advising on Consumer Duty obligations and ensuring good customer outcomes
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a compliance or audit role, ideally within financial services
- Knowledge of the FCA Handbook and the ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidance
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, digestible advice
- Experience in policy development and report writing
- A proactive, strategic mindset and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
- Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement
- Protection knowledge is desirable but not essential
