We have been assigned by one of the UK's more prestigious NHS Trusts to help them recruit a Consultant in Interventional Cardiology on either a Substantive or an NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their successful Cardiology department. Our client holds fundamental Values of Compassion, Openness and Excellence where they underpin how they intend to work as a Trust.

The successful appointee will be joining a department of 15 Consultant Cardiologists, where they will be expected to undertake various duties including:

  • Participation in 1:8-10 Consultant Cardiology of the week rota
  • Participation in 1:7-8 PPCI rota and regular PCI sessions
  • Attendance of regular Heart failure, Echo, and Coronary MDT meetings
  • Carrying out cardiology clinics
  • Responsibility for the professional supervision & management of junior medical staff
  • Carrying out teaching, examination & accreditation duties as required
  • Participation in the clinical governance arrangements of the Trust & specifically within the Directorate including clinical audit & research
