Wyre Forest District Council is seeking a Project Officer to co-ordinate and deliver projects, generate income, save costs, and liaise with internal teams, partners, and community groups around the climate change and carbon reduction work of the Council. The Council has a Climate Change and Carbon Reduction Plan in place with ambitions to reduce its carbon emissions through a variety of measures alongside pursuing income-generating or cost-saving opportunities for the Council.

The successful candidate should be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have knowledge of environmental issues relating to sustainability and climate change.

Additional Information:

  • This is a part-time post of 18.5 hours per week.
  • You will be required to provide a suitable vehicle for this post.
  • This job includes duties that may require a reasonable amount of physical effort and mobility on a frequent basis.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary, including a requirement to be available for evening meetings or the occasional Saturday.
