Our client is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to support their operations on a major new project in the Newport area. This is a pivotal role promoting the physical health and mental wellbeing of our clients' staff on site as the role will involve working with management and project leads to develop and implement practical occupational health programmes across all disciplines.
Responsibilities will include:
- Dealing with minor injuries and assisting with the implementation of preventative measures.
- Managing an effective D&A testing programme.
- Conducting comprehensive health assessments on a regular basis.
- Collaborating with all Health and Safety leads to ensure all policies and processes are fit for purpose.
- Ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance.
- Maintaining accurate records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Delivering health promotion initiatives to improve employee well-being.
The successful candidate will ideally be a Registered General Nurse with a relevant Occupational Health qualification (Diploma or Degree level) and at least three years experience in occupational health. They will also be able to demonstrate a commitment to professional development as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills developed over time in the workplace.
Salary: 45-50K p.a. + Car Allowance and benefits.
