Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Reactive Gas Engineer to undertake the maintenance and repair of heating systems within commercial and residential properties. The role involves ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and to a high standard, with timely repairs carried out to enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and repairing gas systems and appliances within residential and commercial properties.
  • Conducting detailed inspections to identify potential issues or safety concerns.
  • Repairing or replacing defective components and equipment as necessary.
  • Testing gas systems for leaks and ensuring full compliance with relevant safety regulations.
  • Providing technical support and advice to customers on the operation and maintenance of their systems.
  • Collaborating with team members to complete projects efficiently, meeting both deadlines and budgetary requirements.
  • Ensuring adherence to all Health and Safety legislation, including completing Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records as required.

Requirements:

  • Possession of essential gas qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, and CKR1.
  • A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Experience in plumbing or carpentry is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform demanding tasks.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their proper use.
  • Ability to assemble and weld components as required.
  • A DBS check and appropriate references must be completed before starting the role.
