Sales Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer who are the country's largest and leading refractory specialist. With a company history spanning over 130 years, you will be joining an employer who can offer training and the opportunity to work with an international client base.
This role would suit candidates with experience working in an industry linked to material science such as refractories, glass manufacturing or a similar background related to heat. Sales and account management training will be provided if needed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing UK based and international customers, which will involve regular travel to maintain and develop sales. Approximately 90% of the role will be spent managing existing accounts, where you will be responsible for discussing new materials and technologies with customers and setting pricing. The other 10% of the role will look at new business which will typically come through referrals / leads.
The Sales Engineer Role:- Approximately 90% Account Management, 10% new business
- Lead customer negotiations and set pricing
- Set and monitor sales targets
- International travel up to approximately 12 weeks per year - typically one to two weeks at a time
- Organising travel
Any engineering / material science background understanding related to heat - including refractories, glass manufacturing, ceramics, hydrogen production, petrochemical etc.
