- Leading the maintenance, DOS, CI and H&S activities of the facility.
- Lead for Capex equipment purchases.
- Promoting Engineering best practice by supervising training for the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is executed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensuring implementation of any new equipment meets with Dana's, the plants and H&S requirements.
- Ensuring product and processes meet specifications required, taking ownership of the KPI's of Production.
- Supporting with new product and equipment introductions.
- Providing robust and reliable troubleshooting advice in relation to engineering issues.
- Initiate and involvement in planning and organising maintenance/support of equipment, including repairs.
- Leading and participating in continuous improvement activities.
- Providing teams with meaningful and insightful training to team members for Production, Continuous Improvement, DOS and Health & Safety.
- Updating work instructions to reflect new standards of work.
- Improving manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space and layout requirements and equipment layout.
- Filtering suggestions and requests for improvement; taking ownership for the task or project.
- Fostering good interdepartmental working relationships, encouraging the exchange of information and sharing of expertise between areas.
- Liaising with customers, suppliers and other service providers as and when required.
Experience:
- A Degree in Engineering (Industrial/Production, Mechanical or Electrical) or time spent experience in the assembly environment of 10+ years.
- Experience with tools such as FMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA etc.
- Experience in an automotive / off-highway manufacturing environment working with new product development is desirable.
