Job Purpose:

The London HR Team provides an advisory and operational service to the London Branch on all employee matters. Also provide HR support and guidance to both management and employees in line with Bank’s approved policies and procedures whilst keeping the Bank within regulatory framework and employment law.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Administration and control of the SMCR records to ensure true reflection of the Branch SMFs and Certified populations in accordance with the MRM.
  • Maintenance of SMCR Files in preparation for any regulatory audits.
  • Working with Compliance in gathering requirements for SMF approvals.
  • Administering on-boarding and off-boarding of SMFs on the Bank’s records and the regulators via the UK Compliance team.
  • Responsible of new joiners’ and annual full certification process.
  • Responsible for SMCR version control across all data and keeping the MRM/SoRs up to date.
  • Have visibility and able to advise on and administer Regulatory References within the SMCR Framework.
  • Review Employee Handbook, letter templates, standard processes on regular basis to ensure compliance with the Bank’s Policies and UK Employment Law and making recommendations to Head of Human Resources.
  • Work with Head of Human Resources on HR Policies and Procedures review.
  • Ensuring version control and documentation across all employee data is kept up to date.
  • Ensure communication and implementation to HR Policies.
  • Ensure to operate within GDPR policy and remain mindful of Group Policies.
  • Provide HR expertise in the areas of talent acquisition plans, development and coaching, performance management, employee relations including conducting investigations as required by Head of HR.
  • Work with the UK Compliance Team on preparing the data required for High Earners, Conduct Breaches and Training and Competency Reporting etc.
  • End of End processing of UK payroll and explaining all variances and balancing reports.
  • End to End support on recruiting for roles within the Branch as directed by the Head of HR.
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies and business managers in arranging interviews as instructed.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of core HR experience within an FCA/PRA regulated environment.
  • University Degree in Business, HR or equivalent and CIPD qualified.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law & SMCR (Regulatory) and GDPR.
  • Experience in Payroll and Benefit Management would be beneficial.
  • Good working knowledge of ACAS standards and other legislative and regulatory dos and don’ts.
  • To be able to perform assigned activities in a compliant manner and to ensure effective control.
  • Analytical thinking and use information to come up with solution or recommendation.
  • Information seeking mind-set when dealing with investigatory cases.
  • Understanding of health and wellbeing practices that support a positive culture.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Should have a positive “can do” attitude combined with a flexible approach to the tasks required.
  • Ability to work with all stakeholders at all levels.
  • Service orientated, listens to and follows through on inquiries, requests, complaints and maintains a positive approach.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrates good time management and self-discipline on workload management.
