A Shropshire based food manufacturing company is looking to recruit a multi-skilled Maintenance Shift Supervisor / Manager for their production facility based in Market Drayton. This company is seeing significant growth and development to become one of the leading food manufacturers in the UK!
As a Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you will lead and manage your shift of 4 engineers who provide engineering support to the production area and are responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems.
Role:- Multi-skilled with electrical and mechanical knowledge
- 4 on 4 off Days and Night shifts (rotating)
- Opportunity to work in a modern manufacturer
- Approx 70% on the tools and 30% office for paperwork and reports etc
- Salary of c£53k + Benefits

- Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
- Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
- Ensure good repair/manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
- Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents/CMMS
- Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
- Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
- Ensure all work completed by the engineering team is documented in a daily shift report
- Monitor and approve time sheets for the team and perform general HR duties such as return to work interviews, investigations, and individual 121 performance reviews.
- Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC/HNC level
- Multi-skilled, mechanical and electrical skills/experience
- Apprenticeship trained
- Team Leader experience or good experience to show readiness for the next stage in career
- Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
- Manufacturing/production experience required
