Assist the Head of Centre/Head Teacher in managing the early childhood centre to benefit children, families, and the wider community. Ensure compliance with national and local authority guidance, statutes related to early learning and childcare, and support the integration of universal services within a specified locality. Align efforts with GIRFEC, national standards, and guidelines to promote, deliver, and integrate key objectives outlined in the Education Plan, Children and Young People's Services Plan, and the Community Plan.

The role involves Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as defined by the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a PVG Scheme member or have an existing record update before a formal employment offer is made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

This is a permanent, full-time, term-time position based at Cairns Early Childhood Centre, Kilmarnock. Working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, under the direction of the Line Manager. The annual salary ranges from £44,390 to £47,083 full-time, or £38,073 to £40,383 term-time.
