Salary and Benefits

Working Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Major Job Functions

  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated equipment/lighting
  • Inspect and test electrical components, including transformers, transfer switches, and switchgear
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals to complete projects
  • Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans
  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, including termination of power/control/monitoring wiring

  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills

Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in electrical systems

Accountability

  • Work on industrial and commercial projects in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations, national electrical codes, and NICEIC requirements

Education and Experience

  • CSCS Electrician grade/JIB card
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Test & inspection qualification (2394/2395 or 2391)
  • Full UK driver’s license
  • Experience with fire alarm installation
  • Containment installation experience (ladder/tray/basket/galvanized conduit)
  • Desirable: Confined space, PASMA, MEWPs/IPAF, First aid, ContEx, and SMSTS or SSSTS qualifications
