Working Schedule: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours a week)
Major Job Functions:
- Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment/lighting systems.
- Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switchgear.
- Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's manuals to complete projects.
- Survey electrical systems, circuits, and plans.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools; terminate power/control/monitoring wiring.
Specific Skills:
- Work independently and proactively.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge: Deep understanding and extensive experience in electrical systems.
Accountability: Work on industrial and commercial projects in accordance with BS 7671 (18th Edition) wiring regulations, national electrical codes, and NICEIC requirements.
Education and Experience:
- CSCS Electrician grade/JIB card
- NVQ Level 3
- Test & inspection 2394/2395 (formerly 2391)
- Full UK driver's license
- Experience in fire alarm installation
- Containment installation (ladder/tray/basket/galvanized conduit)
Desirable qualifications: Confined space, PASMA, MEWPs/IPAF, First aid, ContEx, SMSTS or SSSTS.
