National Grid is hiring Project Supervisors for our Infrastructure Development department in Oxfordshire.
What You'll Do
- Ensure all site-based construction activities delivered by our principal contractors are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid policies and procedures.
- Utilise the duties of ‘Client Representative’ with a keen eye on safety and the quality of the installation.
- Assign local projects and minimise travel to find a better work/life balance, but travel across the region to our live construction projects will be required.
This is a predominantly site-based role and our regions are quite large, but we will provide you with a company vehicle, paid travel and plenty of opportunity to grow your career at National Grid.
About You
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification or equivalent site management/supervision qualification.
- A proven track record in electricity (or comparable) with site management or site supervision experience.
- Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) experience would be preferable.
- Can demonstrate a good understanding of CDM regulations.
- Background in Civils.
- Experience of quality management systems as supervisor under NEC.
- An awareness of Project, Contract and Stakeholder management and client representative experience.
- Full UK driving license is essential.
