National Grid is hiring Project Supervisors for our Infrastructure Development department in Oxfordshire.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all site-based construction activities delivered by our principal contractors are efficiently managed in accordance with National Grid policies and procedures.
  • Utilise the duties of ‘Client Representative’ with a keen eye on safety and the quality of the installation.
  • Assign local projects and minimise travel to find a better work/life balance, but travel across the region to our live construction projects will be required.

This is a predominantly site-based role and our regions are quite large, but we will provide you with a company vehicle, paid travel and plenty of opportunity to grow your career at National Grid.

About You

  • SSSTS or SMSTS qualification or equivalent site management/supervision qualification.
  • A proven track record in electricity (or comparable) with site management or site supervision experience.
  • Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) experience would be preferable.
  • Can demonstrate a good understanding of CDM regulations.
  • Background in Civils.
  • Experience of quality management systems as supervisor under NEC.
  • An awareness of Project, Contract and Stakeholder management and client representative experience.
  • Full UK driving license is essential.
