An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time (30 hours per week) Senior Quality Assurance Officer within the Business Services Team of the Environment and Transport Department.
We are looking for someone that is able to manage and maintain the department\’s Quality Management System, provide alignment with the Asset Management System and lead on the development and roll out of our external accreditations.
About the Role
You will organise and manage the programme of external assessor visits, accompany external auditors during the visits and record, manage and respond to any issues or non-conformities raised.
You will work with a range of officers across the department to review and maintain all process charts and other documentation associated with the Quality Management System & assist with Document Control within the Asset Management System and advise the Department of any necessary changes and improvement opportunities.
You will design and manage delivery of an annual programme of internal audits, leading a team of internal auditors to ensure the programme is delivered as well as recording, managing and responding to any issues raised.
You will provide advice regarding quality standards, compliance and assurance, process development, improvement and efficiency, forms and documents to a range of stakeholders and ensure that external accreditation frameworks and standards drive compliance, efficiency and continuous improvements in the delivery of our services.
The successful candidate will join a small Business Services team that provides a number of key business support functions to the department and will work with senior managers across a wide range of services.
About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
- Internal Auditor qualification
- Experience of working to ISO standards with excellent understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO55001 requirements and standards.
- Experience of developing and managing a programme of internal audits as well as experience of interpreting and implementing external standards within an organisation, working with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience of document management and control, process improvement, efficiency and system development.
- Experience of providing advice and support to encourage continuous improvement as well as excellent communication skills with the ability to shape and influence behaviour to achieve successful outcomes. You will have the ability to build powerful relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders creating open and transparent relationships based on trust.
- Logical and analytical, with good organisational skills as well as ability to work to tight timescales and to agreed targets.
- Ability to travel to locations across the County as required
