This is a fantastic chance to join a progressive and well-established firm that offers genuine career development, a supportive environment, and high-quality work.

I'm currently working in partnership with a leading legal 500 law firm, a recognised leader in litigation and recoveries, to recruit a solicitor into their expanding Housing and Recoveries team.

The Role:

Working as part of a close-knit, highly experienced team, you will handle a varied caseload with a focus on:

  • Possession claims and housing repossessions
  • Debt recovery related to tenancies and leaseholds
  • Housing recovery litigation on behalf of local authorities, housing associations, and landlords
  • Advising clients on pre-action protocol, enforcement options, and defending disrepair claims where applicable

You’ll be joining a firm with a strong pipeline of work, particularly acting for public bodies, landlords, and institutional clients, giving you exposure to technically challenging and rewarding files from day one.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • At least 2 years' PQE (Housing litigation experience essential)
  • Solid knowledge of housing law, particularly Section 8 and Section 21 procedures
  • Experience dealing with debt recovery and possession actions
  • Strong litigation and advocacy skills (or willingness to develop them)
  • A practical and commercial mindset, with the ability to manage volume work efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a team

Why Join our client:

  • Specialist environment - work alongside industry-recognised experts
  • Flexible/hybrid working - excellent work-life balance with 2-3 days WFH
