My global manufacturing clients are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Paint Shop Operator.

The successful candidate will:

  • Receive training on the job
  • Work as part of a team to contribute to the business objective of delivering Parts on time to a high specification for the customer
  • Operate in accordance with safety requirements and within established procedures
  • Report directly to Production Leaders for the facility

It is essential that the successful candidate:

  • Has the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Works to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments
  • Works in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications
  • Participates in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice
  • Ensures a clean and safe environment is maintained in the workplace
  • Has basic PC literacy
  • Must be able to demonstrate a flexible and adaptable mindset
  • Must be willing to develop new skills and undertake training to operate flexibly and support business needs
  • Has knowledge of lean principles and process basics
  • Has problem-solving skills
  • Has knowledge of quality tools, systems, and procedures
  • Has good interpersonal skills
  • Has experience working in a customer-focused environment subject to change

It is desirable that the successful candidate:

  • Has general knowledge of the spray painting process
  • Has knowledge of working with Silcoset and other bonding adhesives

Hours of Work:

  • Mornings 6am-2:12pm
  • Afternoons 1:48pm-9:30pm (with 7pm finish on Fridays)
  • Nights (3 shift only) 9pm-6:15am (Monday to Thursday)
