We’re looking for a talented individual to join our Centre Management Team as the Social Values Executive on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, leading the implementation of the Community Resilience Action Plan across our three shopping centres. Key objectives
- Assist the Social Value Manager in delivering the Community Resilience Action Plan (CRA Plan) across UK centres, overseeing charitable requests, coordinating community events, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring accurate reporting.
What you will be doing
- Social Value: Support the Social Value Manager (SVM) with the design and delivery of the Centre Community Resilience Action plans. Work collaboratively with departments across the URW business and contractors to support the delivery of the CRA plan and Social Value strategy. Organise volunteering activities for URW employees to participate in. Oversee the running of the charity desk in all locations, supporting local grassroots organisations, charities, and NGOs. Deliver the charity strategy for Croydon and lead the output to deliver the related centre charitable leases/licenses. Promote good governance practices and ensure all policies and standards associated with Social Value are put into practice, such as conducting compliance screening and updating legal agreements. Monitor and capture qualitative and quantitative data for community projects for reporting purposes.
- Communications: Act as Westfield representative in interactions with the local community and represent the interests of Westfield at external functions and/or committees. Maintain effective communications and respond promptly to local stakeholders, NGOs, and educational providers’ enquiries. Support networking activities with community and business leaders, institutions, and local authorities to ensure the centre gains a strategic advantage. Work with the marketing team to create and promote community activities across owned channels such as the Westfield website, social media, and digital screens. Support the communication of Social Value successes through internal and external channels to generate PR opportunities at local and trade levels. Ensure relevant stakeholders are briefed on all Social Value activities. Maintain effective relationships with the Development and Leasing teams, supporting development strategies and planning objectives. Work with relevant managing agents to deliver social value strategies for applicable centres. Proactively identify and communicate with external community and charity stakeholders to gain their support. Coordinate effectively with Business Support Managers.
