A great opportunity for an ambitious Senior Buyer to support the growth of a greenfield procurement function within an exciting and innovative organisation. We are partnering with a world-class research centre as they embark on an exciting growth journey. The Senior Buyer for Laboratory Equipment is a newly created position within a greenfield procurement team. The role will support the Head of Procurement in delivering first-class procurement activities and developing robust systems and processes across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire procurement process from start to finish, including owning the category strategy.
- Support supplier onboarding and monitor procurement systems.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders, including scientists and professors.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates will have experience in the pharmaceutical or private healthcare sectors, sourcing high-value laboratory equipment and consumables. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential.
Additional Information
Our client has significant growth plans over the next three years, including constructing a new state-of-the-art campus and increasing headcount from hundreds to thousands by 2027. This is an exciting time to join this pioneering research organisation. The role is based in Oxford, requiring on-site presence 3-4 days a week.
