We currently offer over 600 clinically relevant medical devices to women's healthcare providers, including testing and treatment options.
At CooperSurgical we are currently looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer. You will be part of the local quality team in Falmouth, with primary focus on Supplier Quality. You will be reporting to the Sr. Quality manager based in the UK. This role is placed in Falmouth, Cornwall United Kingdom and is onsite. Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and it is on-site.
In the role of Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for supplier quality, ensuring the quality and compliance of raw materials and components sourced from suppliers. You will be collaborating closely with suppliers, procurement, and production teams to resolve quality issues and ensure that materials meet the required specifications and medical device regulatory standards. This role includes coordinating with suppliers to support the QA Manager and Supply Chain Manager during investigations and non-conformance resolutions. Additionally, the Quality Engineer works with the production department to ensure compliance of finished products and goods. You will actively participate and conduct supplier audits, as part of the site inspection team.

Your key responsibilities:
- Monitor supplier performance and perform supplier audits
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives
- Establish and maintain supplier scorecards to effectively monitor and communicate performance metrics
- Identify supplier-related non-conformance and identify trends
- Responsible for the Non-Conforming Material Review Board and the disposition of non-conforming product
- Root cause investigation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field
- 2-5 years of experience from a similar role with a regulated manufacturer, preferably within Medical Devices
- Experience with supplier management
- Internal/External audit experience
- Motivated problem solver with the ability to work independently
- Good communicator and team player
- Excellent attention to detail
- Sound computer literacy - proficiency with Excel
