Creative Hartlepool are growing their team by recruiting a part-time Duty Officer to assist in delivering events in Borough Hall and Town Hall Theatre. Hartlepool is a vibrant and energetic town with growing prospects. Creatively, there are exciting times ahead in Hartlepool, from the planned refurbishment and re-focusing of the Borough Hall and the development of a strategic and influential Creative & Cultural Partnership to ambitious plans to establish the town as a major centre for the creative industries.
On a community level, the opportunity to be creative, to participate in or to experience the performing arts is key to inspiring, engaging and enriching the lives of our residents. Our venues and programmes subsequently contribute positively to improve mental wellbeing, community cohesion, enhanced local identity and economic impact.
We are looking to expand the Creative Hartlepool team by recruiting a part-time Duty Officer to assist the Creative Venues and Events Manager and Officers in delivering high-quality events at Borough Hall and Town Hall Theatre. You will play a key role in welcoming local and national companies to our creative venues and ensure we deliver a high-quality customer experience through managing teams to deliver front of house, bar and box office services. You will support the Creative Venues and Events Manager in monitoring building maintenance and Health and Safety checks.
We are looking for people with relevant experience in Arts, Culture or Creative events or venues experience. You will need to demonstrate effective organizational, people management and communication skills.
Hartlepool Borough Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
