Venatu Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Plumber to work on a secure prison project in Nottingham. This is a long-term opportunity for a skilled individual with a strong background in Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing maintenance in accordance with specification and scheduled works packages, ensuring full compliance and safety at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine and non-routine plumbing maintenance
- Perform fault finding and provide effective solutions
- Identify and report life-expired equipment
- Check, repair, and replace plumbing systems as needed
- Complete inspections, water sampling, and risk assessments
- Conduct mains water supply repairs
- Work in line with health and safety standards and approved method statements
- Minimise material waste and promote efficient practices
- Ensure statutory maintenance is delivered on time and is fully compliant
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Gas Safe Registration (essential)
- Legionella Control (L8) certification
- Experience with Maximo or similar maintenance management systems
- Competent in the use of light plant equipment
- Comfortable working at height and in all weather conditions
